The evening of the Sleep Out coincides with the kick off of the Kenora Winter Carnival, therefore we have partnered with the City of Kenora for the event. • March 3, beginning around 6 pm the challenge will begin at the Whitecap Pavilion on the Kenora Harbourfront. There are fireworks that evening and the sleep out will be before, during and after the fireworks-we will confirm these times in the next little while but roughly 6:00 pm -2:00 am.
• We will partner with the City of Kenora, Kenora District Services board and the Kenora Emergency Shelter
• We will have a popcorn fundraiser at the event, before, during and after the fireworks.
• Media partners have been engaged
• Push for Change t-shirts will be sold at the event
• Proceeds will be split 50/50 between the Kenora Emergency Shelter and the Push for Change
• We have approached the Rotary Club to partner and provide a chili dinner-waiting for confirmation
• The event will be attended by the Mayor of Kenora and other members of municipal government.
